The inlays are so thin that that can be laminated between layers of paper or plastic with or without an adhesive. A number of Smart Labels can be read simultaneously at a speed of up to 2 metres per second and without line of sight. Smart Labels can be combined with current barcode and human readable text labels, allowing you to run old and new technologies in tandem and phase out old technology at a future date.

Smart Labels are being used with near 100% accuracy in a variety of industries including library, pallet identification and many other forms of asset tracking. In the retail industry the inlays can be embedded into expensive merchandise for product authentication, they can also be used to keep track of sensitive documents in law firms and courier services.
